Post Closer

The Post Closer will be responsible for shipping, insuring, and resolving suspense items of all loans according to the proper product type, investor, agency and internal guidelines, and all company processes and procedures in an accurate and timely manner.

The post closer is responsible for moving the loan through the purchase process with each investor. The Post Closer will communicate with internal staff, warehouse banks, and investors in order to facilitate the purchase of all loans in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Core duties and responsibilities include the following.

  • Scan closed loan packages from title into the Encompass loan
  • Audit loan documentation for all appropriate signatures/notarizations to ensure documents are compliant with state, lender, and investor requirements
  • Stay up to date on investor delivery requirements for a complete package
  • Gather, compile, organize, and deliver loans to each investor using the platform of choice prior to lock expiration date
  • Work with underwriters, processors and closers to resolve deficiencies and resolve future deficiencies.
  • Communicate with Investors to resolve deficiencies and facilitate getting loans purchased
  • Reconcile data back into LOS with any changes required by the investor and at the time of Purchase of the loan
  • Locates and delivers pertinent documents and additional documentation required to appropriate warehouse banks in a timely manner
  • Pay UFMIP/VA/USDA Guarantee fees within required time frames to avoid late fees
  • Responsible for proper data entry into agency website for insuring (FHA Connection, VA Portal and USDA LLC).
  • Obtain and upload LGC, MIC and LNG certifications to the investor
  • Prepare and send and track FHA case binders and their statuses
  • Track and ship trailing docs
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • HS diploma or equivalent required. Some college or trade school certification preferred.
  • 1-2 Years Banking or Mortgage Experience
