LOAN OFFICER

JOB TITLE: LOAN OFFICER

REPORTS TO: BRANCH MANAGER

EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Non-Exempt

 

 

SUMMARY

As Loan Officer, you are responsible for building strong relationships with clients and providing excellent customer service.  Thoroughly walking borrowers through the mortgage loan process and act as a liaison between clients and internal staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Obtain complete and accurate 1003 and collect supporting documentation
  • Effectively communicate with clients regarding rates and products
  • Collect and review financial documentation to properly prequalify borrowers.
  • Maintain productivity according to SLA
  • Constantly communicate and collaborate with other departments regarding loans submitted to those departments to achieve the best outcome for loan.
  • Manage an accurate CRM
  • Identify and establish relationships with potential referral sources
  • Work with Marketing department to create and distribute compliant material
  • Other duties as assigned

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 1+ years of mortgage loan origination, funding 2+ loans per month
  • Excellent knowledge of mortgage origination and compliance
  • Active NMLS License is good standing
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a demanding, fast paced, team-oriented setting
  • Working knowledge of PC (MS Windows and Office Products including Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Encompass experience
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills

Ability to handle competing priorities effectively and within established timeframes
